      Hugh (8) Buidhe, Sovereign Prince of Clanaboy, whose name is honourably mentioned by the Four Masters. Had three brothers - 1. Murtagh Ruadh, 2. Henry Caoch, 3. Niall Galdha. This Hugh occupied an important position in the wars of his time; and was slain in 1444. He was married to Finola, daughter of Charles O'Connor, lord of Offaley; she died a Nun in the Convent of Killeigh, in 1493. He was succeeded by his eldest son
