Doylestown Woman Dies at Columbus Mrs. Anthony McMahon, Sr., died at St. Mary's hospital in Columbus at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, of a heart attack following an emergency operation two days before. She was taken to the hospital Nov. 4 when sh e became seriously ill at the home of W.J. Kehoe. She had been caring for Mrs. Kehoe who had been injured in an automobile accident. Funeral services were held from St. Patrick's Catholic church in Doylestown Saturday morning. The Rev. Phillip F riedman officiated. Burial was in the St. Patrick's cemetery. Pall bearers were W.H. Ashley, C. F. Deering, E.M. Breen, W.J. Baw, T.R. Slattery and W.R. Barnett. The Altar Society, of which she was a member, attended the funeral in a body. Mrs . McMahon, in spite of ill health for some time, was very active and recently returned from a two month visit with her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Maxwell at Long Beach, Calif. Born in Ireland Mrs. McMahon, nee Annie M. Kirley, was born May 15, 1864 i n County Monahan, Ireland, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kirley. She came to Doylestown with her parents and two brothers, Patrick F. and Phillip, in 1879. Doylestown remained her permanent home. She married to Anthony McMahon November 8, 188 3. The young couple lived on a farm near Doylestown. They were the parents of six children: Jennie, Robert, Catherine, Phillip, Anthony, Jr., and Julian. Mrs. McMahon was preceded in death by her husband in 1927 and her son Phillip in 1917. Sh e is survived by two daughters and three sons. The daughters are: Mrs. Jennie Maxwell of Long Beach, Calif. And Mrs. Kate Erickson of Billings, Mont. And the sons are Anthony of Madison, Robert of Wyocena and Julian of Irvington, N.J. She is als o survived by 17 grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs Pat Sulllivan, Tomah; Mr. and Mrs. William McMahon, son and daughter, Portage; Mrs. Mary McMahon an d son Ervin, Mrs. Peters and daughter Ruth, Beaver Dam; Mr. and Mrs. A.P. McMahon and family, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. R.E. McMahon, Ethel and Emmet, Wyocena; Julian McMahon, Irvington, N.J.; Mrs. Jack Erickson, Billings, Mont.; Mrs. John Cornell , Mrs. Arthur Neilson, Mrs. Clarence Johnson, Mrs. Guy Denure, Mrs. Bessie Ford, Rio; Mrs. Joseph Biel and daughter Laura, Lost Lake; Robert Graves, Columbus.
