    • When he was with King William Kufus, in England, as a hostage, was by him dubbed knight. Duncan, Malcolm's illegitimate son, wrests the kingdom from his uncle Donald, he had reigned a year and six months, he fell slain at Monthechin by the Earl of Mernys and he was buried in the island of lona then Donald recovers the kingdom.
