Rites Held Thurs. For Mrs. Kennedy Mrs. Susan Kennedy, 89, passed away at her home in Doylestown on February 20, 1956, following a short illness. Mrs. Kennedy had been a Doylestown resident her entire lifetime. A daughter of John E. and Elizabet h Starr McMahon, she was born in Doylestown on March 24, 1866, the eldest of a family of ten children. On September 17, 1889 she was married to William D. Kennedy of Lost Lake, her husband preceeding her in death in 1908. They were the parents o f two daughters and three sons. Mrs. Kennedy had been a life long member of St. Patrick's church, the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, the Royal Neighbors and the St. Patrick's Altar Society. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth, Mrs. T.J . Lynch of Doylestown, and Elizabeth, Mrs. John K. Doherty of Rio, two sons, Leo J. of Fall River and Earl of Milwaukee, one brother, Steven McMahon of Cornell, six grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other cous ins. She was preceded in death besides her husband by one son, John J. in 1947, her parents and five brothers and three sisters. In addition to her own family she helped raise her sister's children upon her death when the family was very small , they are the following; Owen Kirley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bernard Kirley, Lombard, Illinois, James Kirley, Doylestown, Alice, Mrs. W.W. Pererson of Chicago and Winifred, Mrs. George Ladwig, of Columbus. Funeral services were held from the Thomp son-Kellogg funeral home in Rio and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Doylestown, on Thursday morning with Father James Kramer officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery. Six nephews acted as pallbearers, James and Arthur Kir ley, Mark, Paul, Ervin and Eugene McMahon.
