He inherited Nunney Castle, the Manors of Nunney, Glaston, Lighe, Trotoxhill, Sharpshawe, all in Somerset and lands from his father in Cryklade, Chelworth, Calcote, also included in these holdings were 40 farms with dwellings, slaves and/or serf s. Thirty farms wihout buildings, and about 4000 acres of meadow and timberlands, a teniment in Oxford, and many businesses which included Mills, wool processing centers, dovecotts.
