    On the October 1845 Probate records there was yet another minor heir that had an inheritance.
    Walter and Martha (Patty) Prather's daughter Martha (Prather) Howard ( John Howard's wife), also died (prior to 1844). Martha also had a minor child (Alvin P. Howard) . I am unsure who was in charge of Walter Prather estate at this time. I t may have been Greenberry. Greenberry was Alvin's Uncle and was often a representative for the Prather family. Anyway, Greenberry was appointed to be a guardian a for Alvin P. Howard's estate matters. The heading for the Clark County, Indian a Probate in October 1845
    reads "Greenberry Prather Guardian of his minor heirs and of Alvin P. Howard. In disbursing the estate there were two shares distributed. Greenberry's 5 children were given a share while Alvin received the second share. Alvin was always list ed separate from the other children in the Probate records.

    As early as October 1845 in Clark County, Indiana Probate records list the children of Greenberry and Clorinda Prather.
    Greenberry went to court to establish guardianship of his minor children. This was needed since Clorinda had inherited part of Walter Prather estate. With her death, the children became heirs of her inheritance. The minor children of Greenbe rry and Clorinda were listed as -- Elvira, Rachel, Martha, Lavina and Manliff C. Prather. In Greenberry's will it names three of the five children of this family as
    still living. (Lavina died in 1856 and Rachel died between 1860 and 1882.) The three children listed were: Elvira Hobson, Martha Prall, Manliff C. Prather. So, at this point, I only have five documented children for Greenberry and Clorind a Prather. Of interests, the Probate record was prior to his marriage to Chloe Bennett on March 1, 1846.

    Chlorinda married Greenberry Prather on 6 Sep 1829 in , Clark, Indiana, United States. Greenberry (son of Thomas Prather and Rachel Gaither) was born on 28 Jan 1800 in Little Dutchman's Creek, Iredell County, North Carolina, United States; died on 7 Aug 1882 in Fillmore, Putnam, Indiana, United States; was buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fillmore, Putnam, Indiana, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
