Alice M. McMahon Cornell - Alice M. McMahon, 84, of Cornell, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1991, at her home. She was born Aug. 29, 1907, in Cadott, the daughter of Martha (Wagner) and George Birch. She was raised in Holcombe and married Mark McMahon o n Sept. 30, 1929, in Jim Falls. She has been employed at the Northern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disable and St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls. She has also worked at the Cornell Bakery for many years. She was a member of Hol y Cross Catholic church in Cornell, where she had been the sacristan for over 50 years. She was also a member of PCCW and St. Cecilia's Circle at Holy Cross. Survivors include her husband and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death b y her parents and two brothers, Martin and Royal Birch. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic church, with Father Henry Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Cornell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p. m. Thursday at the Borton Funeral home in Cornell where a rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m.
