      John K. Doherty John K. Doherty, age 86, Rt. 2, Rio, died at his home on Thursday, March 7, 1987 He was born on August 13, 1898, in the township of Ostego to Patrick F. and Anna (Kirley) Doherty. He was married to the former Elizabeth Kennedy o n June 20, 1923 in Doylestown, WI, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He lived on the Doherty homestead his entire life. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1609. Survivors include hi s wife, Elizabeth of Rio; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Lucille) Vinge and Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Staveness; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 1985, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catho lic Church, Doylestown. Father Donald Beckius officiated.
