    • Stories and Notes: Edward was born before 1733 and is the earliest known ancestor of his many descendants. He was married to Ernstina "Diana" Egger/Eckert about 1756. Although she was of German descent and their subsequent offspring all were members of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, (as well as many of their descendants, for many generations, who were members of the German speaking Lutheran/Reformed Church) DNA research points to a Northern Ireland place of origin. He initially had an original land warrant in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster County, for what today is Hawk Valley Golf Course. He later moved to a property of 6 acres next to St. John's Center Lutheran Church in Earl Twp. The family surname evolved from Goulding in earliest records to Golding, Golden, Gulden & Goulden.
