Notes: Eve is the first woman mentioned in the Bible. She was said to be made from Adam's rib. It is said that Adam called his wife's name because she was the mother of all living. It is said that Eve bears resemblance to an Aramaic word for "snake", which makes her associated with the snake. It is Eve that was said to have encouraged Adam to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
