    • Also Known As : Frank
    • Stories and Notes: Frank Hamilton and wife went up to Washington from Nevada as the lure of Gold attacted them and for $1000 purchased 750 acres at the mouth of the Baker River on what is now the Ovenell's Heritage Inn. (I have been there and it is a beautiful place). They bought the land from a man who was working the gold fields. The land attracted them as it also was next door to Theodore Sunter and his mother. Theodore was Frank's wife's half brother and his mother also her mother. Most likely this is the reason Frank's mother moved up to live with them too, they had more in common. Soon the goldfields died out and Frank took up farming. He was a hard worker, but lost his farm due to the major flood which destroyed his farm. He moved to Sedro Wooley to live out the rest of his life.

    Other Events and Attributes:

    • Occupation: Wheelwright and Carpenter
    • Stories and Notes: Oldcom10 Hamilton to Hamilton Connection: Just a quick note: I dont believe there is any connection between William H. Hamilton and William Alexander Hamilton. (Alexander was born around 1833 in Kentucky) William H, was born in 1811 Ohio. William H. was a "bound out child" and at age 10 only knew his name as William. I believe he was bound out from the town of Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio so he actually could have been known as "William of Hamilton", which may have been how he had gotten his name.
