    On 18 June 1618 in Leyden, Isaac Allerton, tailor, made a swornstatement for Nicholas Claverly, witnessed by Degory Priest.
    On 9 January 1619, Isaac Allerton made agreement with Alice Gallant, widow of John Hooke and current wife of Henry Gallant, to apprentice her twelve-year old son John Hooke to Isaac Allerton, to learn the tailor trade.
    On September 26, 1636 Isaac made a deposition in Boston stating he was aged about 53 years.

    (Research):Isaac Allerton has a relatively small number of descendants compared to other Mayflower passengers, but is an ancestor to Presidents Zachary Taylor and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

    Came over on the Mayflower - Published many Religious pamplets which made him a fugitive from the King of England. Was the Oldest Mayflower Passenger to be at the First Thanksgiving, he was in his Fifies.
    Was a leader of the PILGRIMS, who established Plymouth Colony.
    A member of the local gentry in Scrooby, Yorkshire, he helped organize a separatist religious congregation in 1606 and financed its move to Holland in 1608. His influence was instrumental in winning the approval of the Virginia Company for the p roposal to resettle the congregation in America, and he was one of the few original Scrooby separatists who sailed on the Mayflower in 1620.
    As the church's ruling elder in Leyden and then in Plymouth, Brewster shared with William Bradford and Edward Winslow in the leadership of the Pilgrim enterprise

    A Leyden record shows that William Brewster and Ann Peck gave power of attorney to Thomas Simkinson, merchant of Hull. Presumably Thomas Simkinson has some relation to Brewster's mother's first husband John Simkins

    The Mother of The Pilgrim Fathers.

    In 1564, Mary (Smythe) Simkinson, daughter of William Smythe of Stainforth, Hatfield, England, and widow of John Simkinson of Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, was married to a certain William Brewster of Scrooby.
    It is unclear as to where William and Mary went to live after their marriage, but it is generally thought that their first son, also called William was born in Scrooby in 1566/7.

    The young William was to grow up and become one of the most well known figures in history, as the elder churchman who sailed to America aboard the Mayflower and led The Pilgrim Fathers in their journey from Leyden in Holland to Plymouth in New England.

    William Brewster died 10 April 1644, in the colony he helped to build in Plymouth.
