      McMahon, Amanda (Setz) Sun Prairie/Stoughton - Amanda (Setz) McMahon, age 105, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at the Nazareth House, Stoughton. She was born on June 9, 1898, at the "Island" in Waterloo, Wis., the daughter of Louis and Ann a (Herman) Setz. Amanda was employed with the telephone company in Columbus, Wis., prior to her marriage to E.P. McMahon. They were united in marriage on April 2, 1923. Amanda and "Mac" had two sons, James and John. They lived most of their marr ied lives in Sun Prairie. "Mac" preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1969. Her husband, sons, and grandchildren were the most important factors in Amanda's life. She is survived by her sons, Jim and Jack (Nancy); a sister, Esther Granberg; grandchi ldren, Michael, Allen, Patrick, Amanda Shipp, Michelle (Kevin) Koessl, Daniel (Jeane) and Catherine Jesperson; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Kelly, Katy, Jackie and Sean McMahon, John and Jason Shipp and Kodiak Koessl; as well as numerous niece s and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Audrey; brothers, William Setz, Lester Setz, Eugene Setz, and Monroe "Bud" Setz; and sisters, Lillian Groening, Lucille Cain, Alma Witas and Doris Jurkowski. Pri vate graveside services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Sun Prairie, with the Rev. Bart Timmerman of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at Nazareth House who took s uch good care of Amanda and asks that memorials be sent to Nazareth House in Stoughton.
